Hello Charlotte Beer Babes & Friends!
We are approaching the final month of the year (wait, what?!?!?) and the end of 2014 (where did it go?!?) – so for this December, I wanted to have a couple go-out-with-a-bang events!
Because of the holidays, we are going to only have two events this month: Second Saturday Beer Education and our 3rd Anniversary Party!
First up – Second Saturday Monthly Beer Education, being held this Saturday, December 6, 2014, from 1-4pm!
Ladies, head over to The Beer Growler (in Southend, across from World Of Beer) for a Winter Ales class that should leave you feeling nice & toasty in knowledge and yummy beer! We’re going to try (3rd times the charm?) a new venue and a new class format to see if we can get a winning combination!
Yours truly will be teaching (feel free to come just to heckle me gently), and the three lady owners of The Beer Growler are letting us do a 6-beer-tasting of Winter Ales for us for $10! You can order a flight from them when you get there to settle in, or you can go in with others on a growler that they’ll pour you as the event progresses! Second up – 3rd Anniversary, Womens Causes Fundraiser & Brewery Visit Party, being held on Sunday, December 14, 2014, from 12-6pm!
Ladies, head over to Sycamore Brewing in your workout clothes and with a yoga mat – at 12pm for a $10 Yoga Class, or at 1pm for a $10 Self-Defense Class! Cash only please, as $5 from each class will go towards each of these charities: Carolina Breast Friends and Safe Alliance!
Ladies & Gents: We will have classes outside under the heated tent, but if you’d like to come watch or just hang out starting at 12pm, please come ahead! We’d love to have you out with us to celebrate THREE YEARS of the Charlotte Beer Babes being part of the #cltbeer scene! Woohoo! We will be doing a brewery tour at 3pm, and we will also have tip jars out (not bartender tips) if you’d like to donate to either charity instead of (or in addition to) the classes we’re doing! Checks are accepted in tip jars, or I’ll have information for credit card donations online as well for both charities!
I am ecstatic for this event, and am REALLY hoping we get a great turnout for the Charlotte Beer Babes as well as for both charities’ sakes!
