Hello Beer Babes!
July is kicking off today, 7/12, at 3pm with a testing out of our new Second Saturday time and place. We will be heading to T.Mac University (formerly Taco Mac’s) at 3pm for a tour of some NC Beers that are not from Charlotte! Cost of this class will be $10 and we will have a spot in a room in the back to enjoy ourselves. Cost will cover the 6 beers we will sample, and the restaurant will also have a server in case anyone wants to order food as well! This first one is going to be as much us trying out the new spot as learning beers, so please bear with us while we test this out! Would love to see you all out there! If you’d like to RSVP to this event, you can do so via Facebook and/or Meetup.
Furthering us along this month, we will be heading on Wednesday, 7/16, to Good Bottle Co. at 6:30pm for our Beer Photography class. Hope you can make it out! This class is being taught by local photographer, Eric Gaddy, who, among other ventures, is the photographer for the books Charlotte Beer and Beer Lover’s The Carolinas (both books are by local beer blogger, Daniel Hartis). Eric is going to explain how to take good pictures of beer using a DSLR, Point-and-Shoot, or Camera Phone. If you’re using a camera phone, though, he recommends you download either or both of these apps before the class: Instagram and/or VSCO Cam. This class should last about 45 minutes, with another roughly 45 minutes dedicated to Q&A and assistance taking pictures. The only cost for this class will be the cost of any beers your purchase (draft, or bottles, or bottles to share) from Good Bottle Co. If you’d like to RSVP for this event, please do so via Facebook and/or Meetup.
I hope to see yall out there for some good beer education today and Wednesday, and look for more events coming soon on all of these sites!
Cheers, Slainté, Prost, Salut!
Bethany
