Hello Beer Babes & Friends!

October is a wonderful month. Fall. Festivals. Apple Cider. Halloween. Pumpkin everything. NC Craft Beer Month and Charlotte Craft Beer Week (Oct 21-30). And a jam-packed month of Charlotte Beer Babes events!

We will be starting the month off with our usual monthly Beer Ed class. For October we will be heading to Vaulted Oak Brewing on Wednesday, October 12, from 6-9pm. Class will start at 6:30pm, as usual, to give people time to arrive and get situated. I will lead us on a dedicated flight tour, with the final beer of the flight being a “Ladies Choice” for each attendee to select on their own. Our next event, will be our annual jaunt to the Carolina Renaissance Festival to attend for their BrewFest Weekend! We will have a group going on Saturday, October 15, from 10am – 6pm, and the BrewFest is from 12-4pm. Now we get to our extra fun events. Charlotte Craft Beer Week is now officially October 21-30, as NC Craft Beer Week is now the month of October! With that change, we will have three events during the CCBW festivities to celebrate in our own style. Please note: 2 of the 3 events are ticketed with limited availability. Beer Babes will have only a few days of dedicated access to these before they’re opened up to the general public! If you’re interested, get your ticket early to guarantee your spot!

First up for CCBW, on Monday, October 24, from 6-9pm, we will be doing an Off Flavor class at Divine Barrel Brewing in NoDa. Ticketed class, limited availability due to Off Flavor samples. If you’d like to attend to listen and just do the accompanying Beer Flight, you’re welcome to do so. For more information and to RSVP, check out the Facebook and Meetup events.

Next up for CCBW, on Wednesday, October 26, from 6-9pm, we will be doing a second Beer Ed class (in lieu of a Brewery Visit) at Legion Brewing’s West Morehead location! This will be a dedicated flight, with class starting at 6:30pm. No ticket required. For more information and to RSVP, check out the Facebook and Meetup events.

Finally, we will close out CCBW on Thursday, October 27, from 6:30-9pm at the Protagonist LOSO location, with a Pimento and Beer Pairing Class! This is a ticketed event! We will be pairing 4 Pimento Cheese options (vegan or dairy available) from Finicky Foods, along with 4 beers from Protagonist Brewery. Also, huge congratulations to the 6 Charlotte breweries who brought home a total of 7 Medals from GABF in the 2022 Beer Competition! Coincidentally, one hosted our Belated 10th Anniversary, and two are on our docket for CCBW events! Lots of great beer in Charlotte, and lots of great breweries to visit!
