Hello Everyone!

I wanted to drop a line to explain a few of our upcoming events through year-end! Thank you all for being part of this group, whether in person or just online, for another amazing year! Sorry I’ve been slack on this site, but keeping up with every other area of social media became a bit much! 😉

Second Saturday Monthly Beer Education:
We just had our Stouts Class at The Beer Growler, so we only have one more monthly style class – and it will be Sours! I’m confirming Saturday, December 12th still works for The Beer Growler, but as long as they don’t have a special event, we will be good to go on Sours on 12/12 from 1-4pm! NOTE: This class will be $15 instead of $12, due to beer costs.

Last Tuesday Brewery Visits:
For October we went to Free Range Brewery on Halloween and had a blast! For November, with Thanksgiving being the “Last Week” for everything, we’re actually going to combine our Brewery Visit with our Animal Fundraising – this weekend (11/22) at Red Clay Ciderworks! For December, with Christmas/Hanukah/New Years, we’ll be combining our Brewery Visit with our 4th Anniversary Party – at Sycamore on 12/20!

Sycamore Brewing – 12/20 – 4th Anniversary Party – 11am-6pm

One Off Beer/Education Events:
12/5 Wort Share: We are doing a homebrewing education fundraiser at NoDa Brewing on 12/5 from 9am-3pm where we will be brewing Ramble On Red on the brewery’s system with Head Brewer Chad, which we then get to take 2.5gal or 5gal of wort (beer minus yeast) home! All of the associated wort costs ($20/$40) are being donated to Military Charities Operation Homefront-Carolinas and Patriot Charities. RSVP: http://evite.me/wKMYPUfT5m­
12/20 4th Anniversary: We will be doing a huge party, fundraising and raising awareness for women’s issues, as well as enjoying the heck out of local craft beer from 11am-6pm! JOIN US!
TBD: We will be doing a Coffee & Beer Pairing Class, likely in January, but keep an eye out!
TBD: We will be doing a Cicerone Class (learn how to taste beer). Details coming.

Fundraising Events:
Animals 11/22 – Carolina Raptor Center – This fundraiser is at Red Clay Ciderworks from 3-6pm, and fundraising will done with a tip jar at our table AND from 30% of all proceeds from Origami Owl jewelry purchases made through Lauren: https://charmedbylaur…­[/url].
Military 12/5 – Operation Homefront-Carolinas / Patriot Charities – The above Wort Share event, which will be $20 for 2.5 gallons or $40 for 5 gallons of Ramble On Red Wort, is a combo military fundraiser AND homebrew education event! This event is open to LADIES and MILITARY ONLY until 11/27. If we still haven’t hit 45 people, then we’ll be allowing ANYONE to participate in this awesome event! 🙂 Sign up here as well as the meetup, pretty please, so we can get accurate counts between all social media event signups, as we need 15 minimum and can only have 45 maximum participate! http://evite.me/wKMYPUfT5m­
Military 12/13 – Operation Homefront-Carolinas / Patriot Charities – We will be doing a military fundraiser at Sugar Creek Brewing on 12/13. More Details to come!
Womens Issues 12/20 – Safe Alliance / Butterfly Home (Nepal) – We will be doing our 4th Anniversary Party at Sycamore Brewing on Sunday, 12/20. I am still working out details, but these two charities will be our beneficiaries, and we’ll be doing 11am and 11:30am classes on yoga and self-defense for $10 each – with 100% of that going to the charities! We’ll then hang out, with tip jars for donations, and enjoy Sycamore brews all day! This will include a brewery tour! All are welcome, but priority for the classes will be to women if there is a head count issue!

Volunteering at Beer Festivals:
11/21/15 – If you are free this Saturday, November 21st, and would like to volunteer to pour beer at Sourfest from 12-4, please email me at charlottebeerbabes@yahoo.com. Please note: you may not drink during the festival, but there will be a small party afterwards for volunteers.
02/06/16 – Queen City Brewer’s Festival (QCBF) – We will be helping do the ACEing Autism Raffle for QCBF for the 3rd year in a row! We will need volunteers for Session 1 AND for Session 2. If you’d like to Pour Beer or volunteer elsewhere, we’ll also need help! Email me at charlottebeerbabes@yahoo.com if you’re interested in any of this!
